Psychosis

Psychosis refers to a mental health condition characterized by a disconnection from reality. Individuals experiencing psychosis may have difficulty distinguishing between what is real and what is not. Common symptoms include hallucinations (seeing or hearing things that are not present), delusions (strongly held false beliefs), disorganized thinking, and impaired insight. Psychosis can be associated with various mental health disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or severe episodes of major depression. Treatment often involves a combination of medications, therapy, and support to address underlying causes and manage symptoms.
